Augustine Lhardy Garrigues (August 20 - 1847 Madrid - April 3, 1918 Madrid) was a landscape painter and restaurant owner chef Lhardy located in Madrid. He was a pupil of the painter Carlos de Haes who greatly influenced his subsequent artistic career. As a gourmet cook and did a great job successor of his father, communicator and promoter Madrid cuisine. He was the eldest son of Emilio Huguenin Lhardy French settled in Madrid and known for being the founder of the restaurant Lhardy in 1839. baptized in the church of San Sebastián. During his childhood he was educated in France. As a teenager he returned to Madrid and studied at the School of Painting Sculpture and Engraving to the orders of Carlos de Haes. This landscape had much to influence Augustine. Augustine makes its first public appearance at the exhibition of Silverware Martinez in 1874. From this appearance restates this as often as you can and it does make a name. The twentieth century began with Augustine Lhardy management by the restaurant and comes to the fore as the time renowned gourmet combining this work with a painter.
